Due to several large pick up requests, and an unexpectedly busy January and February there is about a 2-3 week turn-around for some requests. About 70% of all incoming Pick Up Request Forms (PURF) are still being handled within 1-2 business days with the remaining 30% and most Equipment Transfer Notices being delayed. If you have need of an urgent pick-up, please call 5-0364 and we can try and work your request into the schedule.
There are about 2-3 months per year when pick up requests fall behind and these times are somewhat unpredictable (January and February are typically very slow months). Currently, all pick ups are free and without charging per pick up we can't increase labor expenses over those time periods. We have 3 employees that service over 500 Michigan State University owned buildings.
