Construction Progress - Part XVII

While on the outside there may not seem to be many changes there has been quite a bit of progress on the interior portion of the new MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center. Since we last posted an update, the floors have been finished in the both the MSU Surplus Store sales floor as the well as the storage facility. We have seen the placement of exterior windows for the MSU Recycling office and Education Center. In addition the interior walls have been installed for the MSU Surplus Store offices and electrical conduit and drywall are being installed now. Work mainly continues installed the electrical and HVAC systems for the facility.

The End of surplus.msu.edu

You may need to update some of your bookmarks to our site. We have discontinued our old web site (surplus.msu.edu) and are now using www.msusurplusstore.com for all business functions.

All of the same information is available at our Department Services page, but there have been a few changes to forms for MSU Departments. We have a new PURF Form, that may be used for receiving credit on your items. The Equipment Transfer Notice has not changed, but is to be only used for capital assets (See our Department Services page for more information).

Here are some quick links to common items:

Construction Progress - Part XVI

While there may not be many major updates to the new MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center there has certainly still been quite a bit of progress made through out the facility. 90% of the interior wall panels have been finished in the MSU Surplus Store side of the facility and work has begun in the Recycling side. Much of interior electrical conduit has been run including the instillation of electrical panels in the mezzanine area. All of the exterior overhead doors have now been installed and the translucent panels have also been completed. The largest change now is the completion of concrete floors in the MSU Surplus Store processing area and the sales floor and storage area should be done very soon.
